Cape Knox


Cape Knox (54˚11'00" 133˚05'00" NW end of Graham I, QCI), Knox Bay (50˚23'23" 125˚36'44" S side of W Thurlow I, Johnstone Str), Knox Point (54˚35'00" 130˚28'00" S end of Birnie I, N of Prince Rupert). Sub-Lt Henry Needham Knox (1831–1916) served on the BC coast aboard HMS Virago. In 1853 he assisted George Inskip with surveys of Port Simpson and the QCI (Virago Sd and northern Graham I, and Houston Stewart Channel) and made the survey of Knox Bay himself.
