Burns Point


Burns Point (49˚18'00" 122˚55'00" N entrance to Port Moody, Burrard Inlet, E of Vancouver). Kenneth Jardine Burns (1878–1966) was born in Ont and went to sea at the age of 20 as 2nd purser on the Empress of China. He worked for the CPR and the Great Northern Rwy, then in 1918 was appointed BC manager of the Canadian Robert Dollar Co, which ran steamships between Vancouver and Asia.
