Bryant Point


Bryant Point (52˚53'00" 129˚06'00" E of entrance to Racey Inlet, Caamaño Sd). John Dart Bryant (1835–1922) was born in Lincolnshire, UK, and arrived in Victoria in 1865. He and his wife, Betsy (Elizabeth Jane, 1837–1923), established a showcase farm, Rosedale, in the central Saanich area. Bryant served as president of the N and S Saanich Agricultural Society and the Saanich Fair. The point was named by the hydrographic service in 1926.
