Brotchie Ledge (48˚24'00" 123˚23'00" In Juan de Fuca Str, S of Victoria Hbr and Victoria). Capt William Brotchie (1799–1859), from Scotland, was on the Pacific coast as early as 1831 as a seaman aboard the HBC brig Dryad.
