Braza Island


Braza Island (50˚40'00" 126˚15'00" Off SE end of Gilford I, Knight Inlet). Named to recall the original Spanish name for Knight Inlet—Brazo de Vernaci—bestowed by the explorers Dionisio Alcalá-Galiano and Cayetano Valdés in 1792 during their historic circumnavigation of Vancouver I.
