Bowers Islands


Bowers Islands (50˚35'00" 126˚13'00" E side of Cracroft Is, Chatham Channel, N of Johnstone Str). Clyde Bowers, who died at Alert Bay in 1939, aged 58, operated BC’s first blue-fox farm on the main island in this small archipelago for 11 years. Formerly known as Low I but renamed by the hydrographic service in 1948.
