Belmont Point


Belmont Point (49˚48'00" 126˚56'00" E entrance to Port Langford, Nuchatlitz Inlet, W side of Vancouver I). Named in 1862 by RN surveyor Capt George Richards after Belmont, the Esquimalt Hbr residence of David Cameron, brother-in-law of Gov James Douglas and chief justice of the colony of Vancouver I, 1853–65.
