Barrat Shoal


Barrat Shoal (54˚38'00" 130˚29'00" Off NW end of Tsimpsean Peninsula, N of Prince Rupert). Elizabeth June Barrat, born at Winnipeg in 1907, was a nurse-in-training at Port Simpson Gen Hospital at the time this feature was named, in 1927. She married Bernard Cyril “Flicky” Doyle (1904–89) at New Westminster in 1935 and died at Vancouver about 1996. Doyle played lacrosse for the New Westminster Salmonbellies and was a member of the team that won the gold medal at the 1928 Olympics....
