Arnet Island


Arnet Island (49 ̊09'00" 125 ̊54'00" N of Tofino, Clayoquot Sd, W side of Vancouver I). Jacob Hendrick Arnet (1869– 1941) pre-empted 80 ha at Tofino in 1893 and carved out a homestead. He married Johanna Johnson (1867–1942) in 1896 and worked as the watchman for the sawmill at Mosquito Hbr in the early 1900s.
