Anderson Point


Anderson Point (53˚39'00" 128˚50'00" E shore of Devastation Channel, S of Kitimat). Lt Col William Patrick Anderson (1851–1927) was chief engineer of Canada’s Dept of Marine and Fisheries and gen superintendent of lighthouses from 1880 until the early 20th century. During his tenure, over 500 lighthouses were built and thousands of aids to navigation installed.
