Aldrich Point


Aldrich Point (52˚20'00" 128˚37'00" SE side of Price I, NW of Bella Bella). Sub-Lt Pelham Aldrich (1844–1930) served under Capt John Price aboard HMS Scout, which was based at the RN’s Pacific Station in Esquimalt, 1865–68. From 1872 to 1875 he was with Capt George Nares aboard HMS Challenger on the Royal Society’s round-the-world oceanographic expedition, and he transferred with Nares to HMS Alert for the British Arctic expedition of 1875–76.
