Alarm Cove


Alarm Cove (52˚07'00" 128˚06'00" W side of Denny I, SW of Bella Bella). Named about 1866 by Lt Daniel Pender of the hired survey vessel Beaver after the 15-tonne coastal trading schooner Alarm, built at Victoria in 1860. Capt William Ettershanks was master in the mid-1860s, trading and carrying freight between Victoria and Nanaimo.
