Active Islet

Active Islet (52˚12'31" 128˚09'55" Entrance to Kynumpt Hbr, N end of Campbell I, just N of Bella Bella). The hydrographic service designated this feature in 1925 to keep alive an early name for Kynumpt Hbr (qv). HBC fur trader William Fraser Tolmie had described the harbour as Active’s Cove in his 1834–35 diaries, written while he was stationed at Fort McLoughlin, located farther S on the E side of Campbell I.
