WASSERMAN, Jack, journalist (b 17 Feb 1927, Winnipeg, MB; d 6 Apr 1977, Vancouver). He came to VANCOUVER as a youngster and attended UBC, where he began reporting for the student newspaper, the Ubyssey. He joined the VANCOUVER SUN in 1949 and spent his entire career there, most notably as a columnist reporting on the city's night life and celebrity goings-on.
