Sydor, Alison Jane


SYDOR, Alison Jane, mountain biker (b 9 Sept 1967, Edmonton). Raised in N VANCOUVER, she began bicycle road racing at age 20 and in 1988 joined the Canadian national CYCLING team. In 1991 she won Canada's first medal in women's world championship road racing, a bronze. She competed at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics in the road race and returned to the Olympics in 1996 in Atlanta to compete in the inaugural cross-country mountain biking event.
