Sillitoe, Acton Windeyer


SILLITOE, Acton Windeyer, Anglican bishop (b 1840, Sydney, Australia; d 9 June 1894, New Westminster). He was ordained in England in 1869, then served as chaplain to the British legation at Darmstadt, Germany, and to Princess Alice, daughter of Queen Victoria. In 1879 he married Violet Emily (Pelly) (b 13 Oct 1855, Essex, England; d 4 July 1934, Vancouver).
