SCHROEDER, Andreas Peter, writer (b 26 Nov 1946, Hoheneggelsen, Germany). Raised in an immigrant MENNONITE family, he nurtured an interest in experimental WRITING while studying at UBC and the Univ of Toronto. He founded and edited Contemporary Literature in Translation (1968–83) and has been a full-time writer since 1971.
