Sanderson, Robert


SANDERSON, Robert, pioneer steamboat captain (b 17 June 1849, Olden, ON; d Sept 1924). He was a mechanical engineer with extensive experience in wharf building and bridge construction when he arrived in BC in 1885, having been employed to build a bridge across the COLUMBIA R at REVELSTOKE. Once that project was finished he got into steamboating on the ARROW LKS.
