Ryan

RYAN, on the Moyie R, 44 km southwest of CRANBROOK in the E KOOTENAY, was an early depot on the CPR's NELSON subdivision. It was named after James Ryan, who built the first hotel in Cranbrook. A post office operated from 1903 to 1913.
