Royal BC Museum


ROYAL BC MUSEUM opened in VICTORIA in Oct 1886 as the Provincial Museum of Natural History and Anthropology, located in a room in the original LEGISLATIVE BUILDINGS. In 1898 it moved to a wing of the new legislature, where it remained until its present building opened as the BC Provincial Museum in Aug 1968.
