ROGERS, Benjamin Tingley, sugar manufacturer (b 21 Oct 1865, Philadelphia, PA; d 17 June 1918, Vancouver). After working at sugar refineries in New Orleans and New York, he came to VANCOUVER at age 24, and with the backing of city council and the CPR he established BC Sugar (see ROGERS SUGAR) in 1890.
