RIVERSIDE FOREST PRODUCTS LTD began in 1947 with the construction of a small sawmill in the Trinity Valley east of ENDERBY, by Jerry Raboch and his sons. In 1962 the Raboch family formed a partnership with William Steele, a Vancouver lumber broker, to create Riverside. It expanded steadily and by 2001 operated 13 facilities at 8 locations in the OKANAGAN VALLEY and CARIBOO. In 2000, revenues were $515 million. See also FOREST INDUSTRY.
