OLAJIDE, Michael Jr "The Silk," boxer (b 8 Dec 1964, Liverpool, England). He grew up in east VANCOUVER and fought as an amateur with the Kingsway BOXING Club for 2 years before he turned professional in 1981. Trained and managed by his father, he won the Canadian middleweight title by defeating Wayne Caplette of Winnipeg on 10 Apr 1985. In 1986 he moved to New York to seek the world crown. Unbeaten in 23 professional matches, he fought for the vacant International Boxing Federation world...
