NEW WESTMINSTER SALMONBELLIES is a legendary team in Canadian LACROSSE history. It began in 1890 with creation of the BC Amateur Lacrosse Assoc, playing opponents from VICTORIA and VANCOUVER. The name was first applied as an insult, then adopted with pride as a reflection of the city's FISHING industry.
