MORICE, Adrien Gabriel, Catholic missionary (b 27 Aug 1859, Mayenne, France; d 21 Apr 1938, St-Boniface, MB). He joined the Oblate order (see OBLATES OF MARY IMMACULATE) in 1879 and came to BC the next year. Following his ordination as a priest in 1882 he rebelled against his posting as a schoolteacher and the order sent him to FORT ST JAMES as punishment.
