MORGAN, Nigel, labour politician (b 1913, Galiano Island; d 1978, Vancouver). As a union organizer in the FOREST INDUSTRY, he negotiated and signed the first collective agreement between the International Woodworkers of America (later renamed INDUSTRIAL, WOOD AND ALLIED WORKERS OF CANADA) and an employer (Batco).
