MOORE, Douglas L. "Buzz," rugby player (b 20 Apr 1921, Regina). He was one of the most durable players in Canadian RUGBY history and the first Canadian to be given the coveted international title of "Honorary Barbarian." Moore was brought to BC by his mother in 1925 and he grew up playing many sports, joining the senior Meraloma Rugby Club at the age of 16. He played or coached on every BC and Canadian representative rugby team from 1938 to 1966, not missing a single match as Canada's captain...
