MAITLAND, Royal Lethington "Pat," lawyer, politician (b 1889, Ingersoll, ON; d 28 Mar 1946, Vancouver). A leading lawyer in VANCOUVER, he was elected to the legislature for the first time in the CONSERVATIVE landslide of 1928 and joined Simon Fraser TOLMIE's CABINET as a minister without portfolio.
