LYONS, C.P. "Ches," naturalist (b 1915, Regina, SK; d 20 Dec 1998). He moved to PENTICTON with his family when he was 4 years old and grew up in the OKANAGAN VALLEY. After graduating in forest engineering from UBC in 1939, he went to work for the BC Parks Branch, a brand new organization at the time (see PARKS, PROVINCIAL).
