Lambert, Betty Lee


LAMBERT, Betty Lee, writer (b 23 Aug 1933, Calgary; d 4 Nov 1983, Burnaby). She was raised in urban poverty, and in her writing she dealt with social injustice, violence and oppression. She moved to VANCOUVER in 1951 to attend UBC. Her work as a copywriter at a radio station led her to begin writing radio plays, of which she produced dozens during her career.
