Laing, David Hamilton Mack


LAING, David Hamilton Mack, naturalist (b Feb 1883, Hersall, ON; d Feb 1982, Comox). He was raised on a dairy farm in Manitoba. As a young rural teacher he became avidly interested in wildlife, especially birds. In 1911 he gave up teaching and went to study art in New York.
