KAMLOOPS BLAZERS joined the WHL in 1981 as the Junior Oilers, owned by the NHL Edmonton Oilers. In 1984 they took their present name and since then have been the most successful team in the junior league. They won the national championship Memorial Cup in 1992, 1994 and 1995, the only team to win it 3 times in 4 years.
