JAMES, Percy Leonard, architect (b 1878, London, England; d 1970, Victoria). The son of Samuel James, a well-known artist, Percy was educated in London and articled with his uncle, John Elford, architect and engineer to the city of Poole. In 1906 Percy immigrated to Canada. He settled first in Edmonton, where he opened a partnership with M.A. Magoon and E.C. Hopkins.
