Hot Springs


HOT SPRINGS occur when surface water seeps deep into the earth, is heated, and rises back to the surface through fractures in the rock. There are 95 identified hot springs in BC, along the coast and throughout the mountainous Interior. The heated water contains dissolved minerals that are considered healthful.
