HIND, William George Richardson, artist (b 12 June 1833, Nottingham, England; d 18 Nov 1889, Sussex, NB). He came to Canada in 1851 to join his older brother Henry, a teacher and naturalist. After settling in Toronto he began to develop a small reputation as a painter.
