Harrison, Lance Easton


HARRISON, Lance Easton, musician (b 23 June 1920, Vancouver; d 26 Nov 2000, Vancouver). The father of traditional and Dixieland JAZZ in VANCOUVER, he began playing saxophone professionally when he was in his teens. A self-taught musician, he was inspired by the clarinet playing of Benny Goodman and picked up the clarinet before focussing on the sax.
