Grainger, Martin Allerdale


GRAINGER, Martin Allerdale, author, lumberman, public servant (b 17 Nov 1874, London, England; d 15 Oct 1941, Vancouver). As an infant he moved to Australia when his father was appointed a colonial official. He then returned to England to attend Cambridge Univ, where he obtained a BA in 1896. He passed through BC on his way to the Klondike, and later returned after serving in the Boer War.
