Garrish, Arthur Ross

GARRISH, Arthur Ross, fruit grower (b 1 June 1915, Estevan, SK; d 30 Mar 1996, Oliver). He settled in OLIVER in 1932 at the age of 17 and worked in a local orchard before purchasing his own property. He was elected secretary of the local branch of the BC FRUIT GROWERS' ASSOCIATION (BCFGA) in 1936. After returning from WWII, he moved to the Southern District Council and in 1951 became president of the Association.
