GARDOM, Garde Basil, lawyer, politician, lt gov 1995–2001 (b 17 July 1924, Banff, AB). First elected to the provincial legislature as a LIBERAL in 1966, he held his VANCOUVER constituency for the next 20 years. He was one of 3 Liberal MLAs who crossed the floor of the legislature in 1975 to join the SOCIAL CREDIT PARTY.
