DEWDNEY, a small community on Nicomen Slough east of MISSION in the FRASER VALLEY, was an early riverboat stop originally known as Johnson's Landing after N.C. Johnson, a local farmer. By the mid-1880s a school, several stores and the CPR line served the area's farmers and their families.
