DAIRYWORLD FOODS, known for its Dairyland brand of products, began in 1913 as a CO-OPERATIVE of FRASER VALLEY dairy farmers (see DAIRY FARMING), called the Fraser Valley Milk Producers Assoc. The original association involved 90% of the valley's producers. Over the years it grew from a bargaining agent for farmers to an owner and operator of creameries, a milk condensory, an ice cream maker and a milk distributorship.
