Copper Mountain


COPPER MOUNTAIN towers above the SIMILKAMEEN R between MANNING PROVINCIAL PARK and PRINCETON on the HOPE–PRINCETON HWY. Copper ore was found here in the 1880s and the site was originally known as Voigts Camp. From 1920 to 1957 the Copper Mt mine was one of the most productive in the British Commonwealth.
