Biogeoclimatic Zones


BIOGEOCLIMATIC ZONES are areas that represent a distinctive combination of CLIMATE, physiography, vegetation and soil. Each is named for a dominant tree, shrub, herb or moss, plus a geographical modifier, such as "Interior" or "Coastal." There are 14 major biogeoclimatic zones in BC.
