BERGMANN, Art, musician (b 1954, Vancouver). A pioneer of VANCOUVER's punk music scene, Bergmann joined his first band, the Schmorgs, in 1977. A year later he started the K-Tels, later renamed the Young Canadians. Their 1979 recording of his satire of college spring break, "Hawaii," remains a local punk anthem.
