Wilson Creek


Wilson Creek (49˚27'00" 123˚43'00" Just E of Mission Point, SE of Sechelt, E side of Str of Georgia, NW of Vancouver). There is confusion over the naming of Wilson Creek. A record at BC’s Geographical Names Office states that it commemorates the district’s earliest settler, William Simpson, who pre-empted land there in the 1880s (Wilson is supposedly a combination of the first three and last three letters of his name).
