Willows Beach


Willows Beach (48˚26'00" 123˚18'00" NW side of Oak Bay, just E of Victoria, SE end of Vancouver I). HBC officer John Tod retired to Oak Bay in 1850 and called his large estate Willows Farm. The waterfront portion of the farm became known as Willows Beach. A popular watering hole, the Willows Hotel, was built in 1864 at the corner of Cadboro Bay Rd and what is today Eastdowne Rd.
