Willoughby Rocks


Willoughby Rocks (50˚53'45" 127˚27'39" NE side of the Deserters Group, Ripple Passage, Queen Charlotte Str, N of Port Hardy). These rocks were originally known as the Twin Its but were renamed by the hydrographic service in 1951, supposedly after a stowaway sailor or “deserter” from the HBC ship Norman Morison, who was killed off the N end of Vancouver I in 1850 along with two of his fellows.
