Williamson Island


Williamson Island (49˚06'00" 123˚06'00" Mouth of the Fraser R, between Kirkland I and Barber I, S of Vancouver), Williamson Slough (W of Williamson I). John Andrew Williamson (1867–1929) owned this island and, from 1907 on, managed a Canadian Fish Products Co plant there that processed fish heads and entrails from the surrounding canneries for oil and fertilizer.
