Whittaker Point


Whittaker Point (51˚40'00" 128˚05'00" SW end of Hecate I, between Calvert I and Hunter I, S of Bella Bella). Henry Whittaker (1886–1971) was born in Brazil and came to Victoria in 1913. He found a job as a draftsman with BC’s Public Works dept, becoming supervising architect in 1916 and chief architect in 1934, a position he held until 1949.
