Weynton Island


Weynton Island (50˚34'00" 126˚47'00" Off W side of Hanson I, NW end of Johnstone Str, E of Port McNeill), Weynton Passage (50˚35'00" 126˚49'00" Between the Pearse Is and Plumper Is, W of Hanson I, SE of Malcolm I). Stephenson Weynton was working for the HBC at Ft Rupert on N Vancouver I in 1860, the year RN surveyor Capt George Richards visited the fort and named the passage after him.
